Hi Friends, Following article is the message I preached last Sunday. Be blessed.

Would love to hear from you as well what God has put in your heart for the coming year.
———————————————————————————————————–

The word I want to share with you is very special to me. Few days before leaving for UP, I was very disturbed about my work and other things; that night I saw a dream where I was sharing from God’s word in our GT. Usually I forget all my dreams, but this time I was able to recollect the exact content of the message I shared. I narrated this to my wife Jane and decided to share it with you whenever God would give me an opportunity. So this is it.

The title of my message is ‘Holding on to the Unshakable God’ from the scripture quoted in Heb 12:25-29

Heb 12:25-29

25 See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27 This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus slet us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire.

Approaching this New Year, we make new resolutions for ourselves; some do’s and don’t’s. We succeed in some but fail in most of them. Similarly I believe that God wants to remind His people through this scripture to hold on to him in this coming year and the years ahead. One thing I certainly know, and that is God is interested in you. He wants you more than you want him. Why is it that the God who made the heaven and the earth still speaks and calls you over and over again? He definitely loves you more than you can imagine or dream of.

As we are stepping into this new year it seems like all those in the world around us is prospering and growing at a much faster rate; be it the Financially, Infrastructure developments, Hi-End Technologies, Entertainment, etc. When we look outside the window the world looks very attractive and glamorous, isn’t it? And it is so very easy for anyone to fall for it, even a believer. We don’t mind stretching ourselves beyond our capacity, beyond our health condition, compromising on God, compromising on our family time, compromising on the things that hold value… just to achieve that which the world promises to offer. Money, fame, comfort, lavish living.

The question I want to ask is … Do you really think that the world is growing? Do you really think that everything the world has to offer can sustain you and give you 100% guarantee that you will enjoy life to the fullest?. What if there is a massive earthquake in our country, will the huge infrastructures be able to sustain itself? What happened during recession, when everything was looking good? Suddenly 2.6 million people who relied on their jobs lost them in a fraction of days, 5 lakh people from the Indian textile industry lost their jobs during recession, these are people who earned not more than 15 to 20 thousand rupees per month to sustain their family. What about the entertainment industry? Will they ever be able to fill your life with true joy, peace and happiness with all their creative efforts?

Everything the world offers is temporary. It is there now, but no guarantee whether it will stay tomorrow You may be a good guy doing a regular job or business, all the time thinking of how you can make more money. What will happen if your health gives up on you?

Very often we get attracted to the things of the world that are unstable and forget to look at the God who is unshakeable. God who knows the end from the beginning. God who is the alpha and the omega. God who so loved us that he died in our place to give us life eternal. There is nothing worth in this world that can be compared to our God. We live each day on the mercies of God.

It is said that if the rate of expansion of the universe in which we humans live is altered or tampered with at the 55th decimal place, planet earth would not be in existence. Now that is a decimal point followed by 54 zeros and then you alter the number in the 55th place – an extremely small quantity. The rate of expansion of the universe is fine tuned to that extent for life to become possible on this planet. You see it is the wisdom and power of God that sustains us.

In this New Year lets make up our minds to hold on to God and his promises for our life as an individual and as a community.

You may ask what does it mean to hold on to God?

I want to share few things that will help you hold on to God no matter what happens around.

Had a good time at the “Together on a Mission” Conference in Bangalore. Jane and Jairus couldn’t make it, missed them terribly. I was given the responsibility of capturing the whole event on the Camera. Check out all the TOAM Pics here http://newfrontiers.in/resources/photo-gallery/

After attending the conference I kind of have a feeling that a sense of Mission has taken birth in my heart; and its growing faster each day. What can be more important in life than to fulfill God’s purposes in our lives? I want to keep myself open.

Work is going on fine, a few days back launched our new cooking video site www.Cookunlimited.com, got some good feedbacks from the site viewers. As of now we have a limited number of cooking videos on the site as it is still under testing; seems like the videos doesn’t play in some older versions of IE. We are trying to figure out a solution. More videos will be added soon after that.
