Dreaming Big

Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be. – Karen Ravn

I have been a dreamer from my young days, some realistic and sensible ones and some really weird ones. One thing I learnt about my dreams is that they are always directed by the life and action I see around me. To list some weird ones I remember dreaming fighting with Gundas (bad guys) to save the

life of the girl I admired in school, dreamt of becoming stylish like Rajnikanth, flipping a cigarette in the air, getting an award in the school for the most brilliant student of the year, becoming a singer, dancer, actor and so on … There are many dreams I can’t even count them.

But I also want to mention that many of my dreams have come true … all the realistic and sensible ones. My Dreams are my hope for the future, as I see each one come to completion I start dreaming bigger ones, it is an adventurous journey.

These are some of the things I’m learning through this exiting journey, hope they provoke and inspire you.

1) Don’t be afraid to dream BIG. Victor Hugo said “There is nothing like a dream to create the future.” I want to encourage you to dream Big irrespective of the current situation you are in, look beyond the shore.

2) Dream to succeed. Don’t be satisfied with where you are, Dream to succeed in

life. Pablo Picasso once said, “Everything you can imagine is real.” Imagine your success. 3) Change your Dreams to personal Vision Make your dreams your personal vision in life and start acting on it.

4) Act upon your Dreams, take the RISK. Start the creation process by dreaming and acting upon it. French writer and Nobel Prize winner Anatole

France once said, “To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.

5) Include others in your Dream, think beyond your generation. Your dream should be so big that you can’t put a number or a date on it. A dream that will carry your greatness to last longer than your

lifetime.

6) Let your Dream inspire others.

Ending my post with this beautiful poem by John Turnipseed, do share your comments.  Dare to Dream

Some people only look at

life through eyes that seldom gleam
while others look beyond today as they’re guided by a dream
And the dreamers can’t be sidetracked by dissenters who may laugh
for only they alone can know how special is their path
But dreams aren’t captured easily;
there’s much work before you’re through
but the time and efforts are all worthwhile
when the impossible comes true
And dreams have strength in numbers
for when a common goal is shared
the once impossible comes true because of all who cared
And once it’s seen as reality a dream has just begun
for magically from dreams come dreams
And a walk becomes a run
But with growth of course comes obstacles
and with obstacles come fear
but the dream that is worth dreaming
finds its way to the dear
And the dream continues growing
Reaching heights before unseen
And it’s all because of the courage of the dreamers
and their dream.
